In the late 1980s, Laura Ingraham wrote speeches for the Reagan administration. After graduating from the University of Virginia with a Juris Doctor in 1991, she started working as Clarence Thomas’ legal assistant. Ingraham subsequently worked in New York City for the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.

In the middle of the 1990s, she began her media career. She acted as an unofficial adviser to Donald Trump during his campaign for president. In 1996, Laura Ingraham became the first host for MSNBC, and in the late 1990s, she moved on to become a pundit for CBS the program called “Watch It!”
