Amini was taken into custody by Iran’s Law Enforcement Command’s Guidance Patrol, sometimes known as the morality police, for not wearing the hijab as per the regulations. She suffered a heart attack at a station, fell to the ground, and died after two days in a coma, according to the police.
In addition to her leaked medical scans, eyewitnesses and other women who were jailed with Amini said that she had been assaulted brutally, which caused outside experts to make the diagnoses of brain hemorrhage and stroke.
