Following Dahmer’s arrest, visitors who went to Bass’s home offered to pay her $50 so she could sit on the former Dahmer’s sofa.
Many of the incidents depicted in Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story seem to be true, and it seems that Dahmer did serve sandwiches to his neighbours, whether or not they contained human meat.
In the film The Jeffrey Dahmer Files, one of Dahmer’s neighbours, Pamela Bass, expressed fear that she might have consumed human meat in one of the meals the serial killer made for her, according to BuzzFeed. That is incredibly upsetting. Bass said, “I probably ate a body part.”
If you’re not familiar with what actually happened, then let me give you a gist on it. Between 1978 and 1991, Dahmer killed 17 young men in Wisconsin and Ohio. Dahmer kept some of his victims’ bones in his house and committed cannibalism and necrophilia as part of his murderous spree. Human heads and a collection of skulls were found in his refrigerator and freezer when he was finally captured in 1991.
