Michael Richard Pence was Donald Trump’s 48th vice president from 2017 to 2021. He was a US politician born on June 7, 1959, in Columbus, Indiana. Pence was one of the six children born to Ann Jane “Nancy” Cawley and Edward Joseph Pence Jr.

Pence earned his high school diploma from Columbus North High School in 1977. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Hanover College in 1981 and a Juris Doctor from the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1986.

From 2013 to 2017, Republican Mike Pence presided as Indiana’s 50th governor. Prior to that, he was a representative in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2001 to 2013.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris defeated Mike Pence and Donald Trump in their bids for reelection in the 2020 presidential election, despite the Trump campaign’s refusal to accept defeat, false accusations of vote fraud, and multiple unsuccessful lawsuits in numerous states.

When Pence served as governor of Indiana, he spearheaded an initiative to boost funding for initiatives involving private schools, which resulted in the largest tax reduction in the history of the state. He authorized the enactment of laws outlawing abortions when a fetus’s race, gender, or disability was taken into consideration.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Pence served as vice president during the founding of the White House Coronavirus Task Force in early 2020 and the re-establishment of the National Space Council in 2017.

Where Is Pence Now?

According to reports, Pence and his family reside in Carmel, Indiana. Michael Pence reportedly thought about running for president in May 2022, regardless of whether Donald Trump decided to do so. After submitting the necessary paperwork, Mike formally began his presidential campaign on June 5, 2023.
