Ewunetie was a junior at the Ivy League institution, where she was studying sociology with a diploma in computer applications. She attended Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School in Cleveland, Ohio, and recently interned at McKinsey & Company and Bank of America.

Ewunetie was also a 2021 LEDA Career Fellow who volunteered for years at her hometown’s Greater Cleveland Food Bank. She was valedictorian of her high school class and a full-ride Princeton student.

According to the county prosecutor’s office, Misrach Ewunetie, an undergraduate student, was discovered dead on campus after going missing on Oct. 14. Ewunetie, a 2024 graduate, was discovered by a facilities staffer near the school’s tennis courts at 1 p.m. Thursday.

According to the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office in New Jersey, an autopsy will be done to determine her cause of death, but “there were no evident indications of harm, and her death does not look suspicious or criminal in origin.”

Where Was Misrach Ewunetie Found?

According to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo Onofri, a Princeton University student from Ohio who went missing near campus about a week ago was found dead Thursday.

Misrach Ewunetie, 20, was discovered by an employee outside the tennis courts on the college amenities grounds at about 1 p.m., according to Onofri.
