The subtleties of their situation were described to WPLG by a lady named Christie, who professed to be their niece.
“They halted the transport at a stop and afterward requested Americans to get off the transport and their escorts off the transport, and afterward they took them,” she said.
Per the report, the criminals at first requested $6,000 for their delivery and the family paid it. In any case, rather than returning the prisoners, the ruffians began requesting additional cash from the family.
“When we sent that cash, they attempted to up the cost to $200,000 per individual and we don’t have that sort of cash,” Christie shared with WPLG.
Experts in the US didn’t answer questions from media houses in regards to endeavors to bring the couple back.
