Jong Jin, her father arrived in the US with $800 money and yet acquired a college degree in manufacturing engineering technology in 1982.

Jong and Boran met in Switzerland while both of them were working as travel agents. They soon moved to Southern California where they raised their three daughters: Chloe and her elder sisters Tracy and Erica.

Initially sending Chloe to learn French in Switzerland, her father soon acknowledged her potential in the sport.

He gave up his job as an engineer to train and travel with her full time to fulfill her destiny.

Eventually, Chloe thanked her pop for dedicating so much of his time and life to her athletic career.
