Trent Green, a former NFL quarterback, is one of the few quarterbacks to ever complete a 99-yard throw play in the league’s history.

Green signed a four-year, $17.5 million contract with the St. Louis Rams on February 15, 1999, which included a $4.5 million signing bonus.

Green also played for the BC Lions, Washington Redskins, St. Louis Rams, Kansas City Chiefs, and Miami Dolphins in addition to the At. Louis Rams.

Green was named to two Pro Bowls with the Chiefs after a game against the Tennessee Titans, and he won a Super Bowl ring with the Rams in Super Bowl XXXIV.

Green retired from football in 2009 and went on to work for the NFL on radio and television before joining CBS Sports.

Green’s broken leg was caused by former San Diego Chargers safety Rodney Harrison. Green’s knee was badly bruised after the vicious hit during a Superbowl preseason game in 1999.

Green was severely injured in 1999 when Chargers safety Rodney Harrison collided with him while attempting to clear the way for Warner to take over the St. Louis Rams.
