Martin was promoted to the top class with Pramac Racing in 2021, winning the Styrian motorcycle Grand Prix and gaining three pole positions out of his first seven events for a total of four in his first season. The 2014 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and the Gresini Racing 2018 Moto3 World Championship are his two most well-known victories.

Alongside MAPFRE Team Mahindra and a Mahindra with Francesco Bagnaia and Juanfran Guevara, Martin made his full-time Grand Prix debut in the Moto3 World Championship in 2015. With 45 points and a seventh-place finish in Aragon, he finished the season.

Martin competed in the 2016 Moto3 World Championship with the same team. After coming in second place in the rainy Czech Grand Prix, he earned his first-ever Grand Prix podium. With 72 points, he placed 16th overall at the end of the season.
