The 54-year-old CNN anchor made the exciting baby announcement on his CNN show Anderson Cooper 360 on Thursday. Since then, the news about his baby is spreading like a wildfire.

Anderson Cooper New Baby Name Is Sebastian Luke Maisani-Cooper

Anderson Cooper welcomes his new baby, named, Sebastian Luke Maisani-Cooper with his parenting partner Benjamin Maisani. The CNN anchor shared that Sebastian was 6.8 pounds at the time of his birth.

He is the second baby to the parents, who was born via surrogate after his nearly 22-month-old brother, Wyatt.

Cooper expressed gratitude to their surrogate for her assistance in bringing Sebastian into the world.

“He is healthy and happy, and even his occasional hiccups are adorable to me,” Cooper told the audience. “He mostly just sleeps, eats, and poops, but he already appears to be a wise and thoughtful little chap.”

Cooper and his former partner, Maisani, will raise Sebastian, as they did Wyatt. It seems like the two brothers are already getting along with each other as Cooper stated.

“Wyatt helped us put Sebastian’s crib together and refers to his younger brother by his middle name, Luke,” Cooper explained. “For a 22-month-old, Sebastian has a mouthful.”

Cooper is thrilled to share the news with his colleagues and viewers. “He’s doing great and he’s just so adorable, he’s got a lot more hair than Wyatt had when he was born, and he’s just incredible,” he told.

Anderson Cooper is together with her partner/husband, Benjamin Maisani for about nine years now. Though there has been a rumor of their breakup in between they came together right before their first child, Wyatt was born.

A representative for Anderson told USA Today, “Benjamin and I separated as boyfriends some time ago.” But we are still family to each other and adore each other. We are still the best of friends and will spend the rest of our lives together.”

Anderson confirmed that he and Benjamin are living together on Ellen on February 11, 2021. “We actually still live in the same house because we get along really well and yeah, it’s weird, but it works out,” he explained.

The couple is excited to be the parent again to their new baby.

“We share parental responsibilities. “Wyatt refers to me as Daddy, and Benjamin refers to me as Papa,” Cooper explained.

According to Cooper, Maisani is in the process of adopting Wyatt, and his surname will be changed to Maisani-Cooper.

His mother Gloria Vanderbilt was an heiress-turned-fashion designer while his father was a writer who died during heart surgery when Cooper was 10 years old.

Cooper stated that after his mother died in 2019, he discovered personal letters from her grandmother, mother, and aunt. He stated that these letters helped bring their voices to life in his life.
