Who is Corinna Mullin?
Corinna Mullin presently holds the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at John Jay College, CUNY. Before joining the academic community in New York, she dedicated five years to residing and working in Tunisia (2012–2017), where she served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of International Political Economy/International Politics at the University of Tunis. Corinna completed her PhD in 2008 at the London School of Economics. Following this, she pursued a postdoctoral fellowship and a Lectureship in Comparative Politics of the Middle East at the School of Oriental and African Studies, supported by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).
Corinna Mullin serves as Part-Time Faculty at the New School. Corinna’s ongoing manuscript, titled “Tunisia and Imperial Security Architectures: Race, Class, Empire, and the (Re)making of a Global South Security State,” integrates theoretical and methodological insights from various disciplines such as International Relations, International Political Economy, American Studies, Critical Race, Critical Law, and Decolonial theory. The aim is to shed light on the interconnectedness of security, empire, and racial capitalism.
