In June 2022, Darya Dugina visited and captured Mariupol and Donetsk. After accusing her of aiding in the online spread of false information about Russia’s invasion, the British government imposed sanctions on her a few weeks later.
She was 29 years old when her car exploded in Bolshiye Vyazyomy, a community outside of Moscow, on August 20, 2022, killing her.
