Glen Travis Campbell was an American guitarist, singer, songwriter, actor, and television host. He released over 60 albums in a career of 50 years and sold over 45 million records worldwide. He won four Grammys and was a Grammy Lifetime Achievement receiver.

Campbell was born on April 22, 1936, he started playing the guitar at the age of four. He dropped out of high school to perform in churches and bars. In 1960, he moved to Los Angeles where he began writing songs and went on to record soundtracks like Viva Las Vegas.

Campbell started appearing on television shows like Shindig and Hollywood Jamboree. He released his first major hit, “Burning Bridges” which was in the top 20. Following his success, he was given his weekly show, The Glen Campbell Story, and he hosted top country artists like Willy Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Roger Miller.
