Jack Coan, the quarterback for Notre Dame, has been selected as a Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year semifinalist.

Following the 2019 season, Coan guided Wisconsin to 10 victories and a spot in the Rose Bowl. His foot ailment from last year’s preseason ultimately cost him the season and his starting position.

Coan ultimately made the decision to transfer to Notre Dame, where he has started each of the Fighting Irish’s 11-1 and fifth-ranked games this year.

Who Is Jack Coan?

Jack Coan, a quarterback with the National Football League’s Indianapolis Colts, was born on December 9, 1998. (NFL). He was a collegiate football player for Wisconsin and Notre Dame.

Coan, a Sayville, New York native who attended Sayville High School before graduating, decided to play football for the University of Wisconsin in 2017 and then made a commitment to do so.

Coan was Wisconsin’s starting quarterback for three seasons before suffering an injury that prevented him from playing for the 2020 season.

When he was later chosen as the starting quarterback at the University of Notre Dame, he stated his plan to register there as a graduate student. He would submit his NFL Draft declaration the following year, in 2022.
