An extremely well-known former Australian rules football player and coach, Donald Neil Kerley.

As a player and coach for more than 30 years, he is primarily known for leading three clubs to four South Australian National Football League (SANFL) championships.

For 32 state games for South Australia, he participated actively.

When he was 14 years old in 1948, Neil Kerley started playing senior football for Barmera in the Riverland Football League.

Between 1952 and 1969, he played in the SANFL with great success. He worked as Norwood’s caregiver while he was a child on a fruit farm in Barmera, South Australia’s Riverland.

He left home and spent two years riding his motorcycle north to work on cattle stations as a Jackeroo.

Who Is Neil Kerley’s Wife Barbara Gordon?

A “local girl” named Barbara Gordon is said to have crossed Neil’s way. The two were married on February 25, 1955, at Whyalla’s St Teresa’s Catholic Church.

Together with Kerley, she had given birth to three children: Donald Jr., Robyn, and Gail.

As she sat on the sidelines and watched her husband’s teams play for more than three decades, Barbara gained a lot of knowledge about Aussie rules football.

She always gave her husband an update on the training-related events he missed.
