Who is New York Jets coach, Robert Saleh?

One such case is of New York Jets coach Robert Saleh. The Saleh family feared the worst on that tragic day because Robert’s brother David was assigned to the South Tower. The fear of maybe losing his brother served as the turning point when Robert Saleh realized he was destined for a bigger purpose.

Though, that time, when David was verified to be alive, was when Robert’s life began to change. Robert decided to leave his position as a financial credit analyst and pursue a career as a football coach.

Who is Robert Saleh?

Robert Saleh is the head coach of the American football team New York Jets in the NFL.

Saleh has primarily focused on defense throughout his extended 20-year coaching career. From 2005 through 2020, he served in a variety of assistant coaching capacities with the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Houston Texans.

He held his first position with the 49ers from 2017 until 2020 as the defensive coordinator. Saleh has been in two Super Bowls, winning one in 2014 while playing with the Seahawks. He left the 49ers and assumed the position of head coach for the Jets at the end of the 2020 campaign.

Saleh signed a five-year contract on January 14, 2021, taking over as the New York Jets’ head coach. On September 12, 2021, Saleh’s first game as head coach ended in defeat as the New York Jets suffered a 19-14 loss to the Carolina Panthers. However, Saleh recovered, earning his first triumph as a head coach on October 3 with a thrilling 27-24 overtime victory over the Tennessee Titans.
