Payton S. Gendron, a suspect in the Buffalo mass shooting, has apparently been identified and charged with first-degree murder.

On Saturday, May 14, at about 2.30 p.m., the suspect allegedly went on a rampage at the Tops Friendly Market at 1275 Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo.

The adolescent opened fire on 13 people while live-streaming the crime on social media. Ten persons were killed and three more were injured in the shooting.

The attack claimed the lives of 11 African-Americans and two whites.

According to The Guardian, city police commissioner, Joseph Gramaglia pulled over at the Buffalo Tops Friendly Market and began firing while simultaneously recording the attack on Twitch via a camera on his helmet.

BUFFALO — Law enforcement officials in New York converged on the home of the suspected gunman a day after one of the bloodiest racist killings in modern American history, as Gov.

Kathy Hochul promised action on hate speech that she described as spreading “like a virus.”

Payton S Gendron, an 18-year-old Conklin student, has been detained as the suspect in the mass shooting in Buffalo on Saturday.

At the scene of the shooting, he was apprehended.

According to CBS News, the shooting occurred in a predominantly Black community, and Payton had driven for “hours” to carry out the attack.
