A man is being severely criticized on social media for posing with a Nazi swastika armband in Las Vegas. The man has been identified as Richard Waygood.

The post where the man can be seen brandishing the swastika armband went viral on social media and several social media users slammed him for his actions and anti-semitic views.

Who is Richard Waygood?

Richard Waygood was working as a third-party provider to Vertex Pharma, as per his LinkedIn account. However, after several X users reported his actions to the organization, their union was dissolved.

He was severely bashed on social media for expressing anti-Semitic views and for his actions. Several X users expressed their disappointment and expressed their anger on social media.

One user wrote, “It never ceases to shock me to see people demonstrate so much hatred. I can’t even begin to understand it.”

“This is henious. A nazi symbol represents HOLOCAUST. This clearly shows his hatred towards JEWISH people.” another user wrote.

One X user tweeted, “Buckle your seatbelts. I have just uncovered a MASSIVE scandal involving a rabidly antisemitic, anti-Israel, federal government lawyer who has made videos mocking and ridiculing the kidnapped Israeli hostages.”

According to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), after the Middle East crisis broke out on October 7 due to an attack on Israel by the Palestinian Islamist organization Hamas, antisemitic occurrences in the US increased by around 400% in less than two weeks.

According to preliminary data from the ADL Center on Extremism, 312 incidences of harassment, violence, and vandalism against Jews were reported in the US between October 7 and October 23. Approximately 190 of them directly affected the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

The U.S. Justice Department declared that it is closely watching the growing threats directed toward Muslims and Jews as a result of the ongoing violence.
