On Monday night, Riley Leonard’s performance was nothing short of spectacular. He orchestrated the Duke offense with precision, running for one touchdown and throwing for an impressive 175 yards.

However, what ultimately doomed Clemson was the turnover battle, with three crucial giveaways tarnishing their otherwise dominant performance. Cade Klubnik, the talented quarterback entering his first full season as Clemson’s starter, faced a formidable Duke defense and threw an interception. The Tigers also lost two fumbles during the game, highlighting the resilient nature of the new-look Clemson offense under the guidance of Garrett Riley, the team’s new offensive coordinator.

Jaquez Moore and Jordan Waters added touchdown runs to support Riley Leonard’s efforts, solidifying Duke’s victory. The Blue Devils, who finished with a 9-4 record last season, have now extended their winning streak to three games, dating back to November 26.
