Sam, whose real name is Samantha, was created and initially made available on the internet in 2021 by Lightfarm, a Brazilian design business, in conjunction with Cheil, a marketing organization owned by Samsung.

Long ago, Lightfarm produced a 2D version of Sam. They then released her as a brand-new 3D avatar on social media, fully redesigning her.

Sam is a Korean woman in her twenties with bob-cut hair, large blue eyes, and an eccentric, upbeat demeanour. She became popular because of her appealing physical and psychological traits.

Her followers even created a special subreddit with more than 60k members while she was trending on Twitter for hours.

Many even went so far as to refer to her as their “waifu,” a phrase used in Japan to describe endorsing any virtual persona as someone’s spouse.

On November 26, 2021, she made her first public appearance in a video titled “Smart Friday: Es Momento de Renovar,” which caused some fans to speculate that she might be Samsung’s upcoming AI helper.
