While still a part of Toyota Industries, the company manufactured its first item, the Type A engine, in 1934 and its first vehicle, the Toyota AA, in 1936.

Under the Daihatsu, Hino, Lexus, and Toyota brand names, Toyota Motor Corporation intends to begin automobile production in 2022. The Nikkei 225 and TOPIX Core30 indices both include Toyota’s stock, which is traded on the London Stock Exchange, Nagoya Stock Exchange, New York Stock Exchange, and Tokyo Stock Exchange.
