After high school, where he placed ninth in the US Amateur that year, he initially enrolled at Oklahoma State in 2012.

He later changed schools, moving to Oregon in 2016, where he went on to win the Pac-12 conference championship and Golf Week Player of the Year.

His business-related graduate study was completed in 2017.

Currently, Wyndham Clark’s caddy is John Ellis, a golfer himself. On October 8, 1979, he was born in San Jose, California. At the University of Oregon, where he played collegiate golf, he was named to the First Team All-Pac-10 in his senior year.

He started working professionally in 2003.

On the Canadian Tour in 2008, John Ellis won the Order of Merit. He won three events in that year: the Stockton Sports Commission Classic, the Corona Mazatlan Mexican PGA Championship, and the Telus Edmonton Open.
