The series was first shown on Nickelodeon from 14 August 2000 to August 9 2019. The storyline was about Dora Marquez who was the lead role, she is a 7year old Latina kid with a monkey named Boots, and they go on journeys with each episode unveiling Dora facing obstacles that she has to tackle to complete her journey.
Dora rose to fame as a result of the show.
The series was discontinued in 2012 as it could not acquire the required rating.
The series ended with Dora reaching her destination with the aid of her bag and Boots. Dora and Boots sing their song “We Did It” and appreciate viewers for watching.
