Billionaire businessman Sir Reginald Hargreeves adopts seven and trains his “children” to save the world by founding the Umbrella Academy.
However, the family disintegrates and the team breaks up as they enter their teenage years. When the six clan members who are still alive learn about Hargreeves’ dying in the present, they get together.
They cooperate to discover the mystery behind their father’s passing, but their different personalities and skill sets once more drive the family apart, and another impending danger is the end of the world.
