On September 23, 2003, The WB broadcast the premiere of One Tree Hill, an American drama television series created by Mark Schwahn.

After the third season of the program, The WB and UPN merged to form The CW, and starting on September 27, 2006, The CW in the US aired the program until its termination in 2012.

Two half-brothers, Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty), are the subject of the drama’s first chapters as they compete for positions on their school’s basketball team and cope with the turmoil that stems from their romantic connections.

The television program takes place in Tree Hill, a made-up town in North Carolina.

In and around Wilmington, North Carolina, was where much of the filming took place. On the campus of the University of North Carolina Wilmington and close to the battleship USS North Carolina, numerous sequences were filmed.

The show’s first four seasons mostly follow the lives of the main characters through their senior year in high school.

The characters in these seasons develop surprising bonds as they deal with the difficulties of growing up in a small community.

Schwahn pushed the timeline by four years at the start of the fifth season to illustrate their lives after college.

This season included a brand-new plot supported by memories from their undergraduate years.
