Alice’s letter was the first one Jeff opened as he was receiving letters from friends and family. Alice informed him that she was a huge fan of his in the letter. Additionally, she sent him a $5 bill.
She informed Dahmer of his notoriety in the outside world and of how his schoolmates had dressed up as him for Halloween in honor of his fame. Alice also mentioned that Jeff’s ideas about the murder were depicted in a ghostwriting comic book.

“Dear Jeff, my friends think I’m crazy for writing to you, but I wanted to say hi. Do you know you are a Halloween costume now? Three different guys at my school went as you for Halloween, and everybody freaked out and now they say next year nobody’s allowed to come dressed up. They made a comic book about you. Did you know?.
