Spud Webb holds the title for “shortest NBA player to dunk,” Spud Webb, who was only 5 feet 7 inches tall, not only dunked in games but also won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest in 1986.

He defeated Dominique Wilkins in the last round with two perfect 50-point scores, a feat only a few other players have achieved.

Anthony Jerome “Spud” Webb (born July 13, 1963) is a retired professional basketball player from the United States.

Webb, who played in the National Basketball Association (NBA), is best remembered for winning the Slam Dunk Contest despite being one of the league’s shortest players, at at 5 ft 6 in (168 cm).

He is the head of basketball operations for the Texas Legends, the Dallas Mavericks’ NBA G League affiliate in Frisco, Texas.
