Vincent Edward Scully, an American sportscaster, died on August 2, 2022. He was 94 years old. When he was eight years old, Scully first became interested in baseball. He was doing laundry and watching Game 2 of the 1936 World Series at the same time. The New York Giants lost the game with a score of 18–4. When Scully saw how bad things were for the New York Giants, he couldn’t help but feel sorry for them.

 

Scully is well-known because he calls games for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball. Since 1950, when the team was still in Brooklyn, he has worked for the Dodgers. He quit in 2016.

Before Sandra died of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis on January 3, 2021, she and Vin had been married for 48 years.

Joan Crawford was Scully’s first wife when they were married. She had been married for 15 years when she died unexpectedly in 1972 at the age of 35 from an accidental overdose of medical treatment.

Their oldest son, Michael, was killed in an accident involving a helicopter when he was 33 years old and working for the ARCO Transportation Company.
