American actor, comedian, and game show host Anthony Anderson. His birthday is August 15, 1970. Over the years, Anderson has made appearances in a number of films and TV shows. Anthony Anderson received 11 Primetime Emmy nominations in addition to three Golden Globe nominations.

Anderson joined the cast of the NBC crime drama series Law & Order in 2008. When the show was revived in 2022, right before Black -ish’s final episodes, he returned to the role after playing Kevin Bernard for three seasons (18, 19, and 20).

Why did Anthony Anderson quit Law and Order?

Anthony Anderson, well-known for his roles in Black-ish and Me, Myself, and Irene as well as other TV shows and motion pictures, left the series in 2022 after season 21 came to an end because he had only signed a one-year deal.

Since the 52-year-old actor’s one-year contract with NBC has ended, his role as NYPD Detective Kevin Bernard won’t appear in any upcoming episodes.
