Edward Snowden, whose full name is Edward Joseph Snowden, was an American intelligence contractor who was born on June 21, 1983, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. In 2013, he revealed that the National Security Agency had a secret, extensive information-gathering operations in place (NSA).

Snowden was born in North Carolina, and when he was a little boy, his family relocated to central Maryland, not far from the NSA’s Fort Meade headquarters.

Edward dropped out of high school and attended a community college on and off between 1999 and 2005; he earned a GED but no college diploma.

As a special forces candidate, Edward joined the army reserve in May 2004 but was released four months later.

Edward Snowden is concerned that the US and other governments are moving toward collecting an eternal report on everyone on earth, chronicling every facet of their daily lives with the assistance of the major internet companies.
