Shania Edwards now known as Shania Twain is a Canadian singer as well as a songwriter. She was birthed on August 28, 1965. She is a famous music who in the late 1990s and the beginning of the 2000s was at the peak of her game. Not only that, but she had several hits songs and great albums making waves all around the world.

She had five studio albums including The woman in me, Come on over and others.

The country music star Shania Twain had the world at her feet with 75 million records sold globally, five Grammy Awards under her belt.

 

Why did Shania Twain quit singing?

Pop singer Shania Twain stopped singing after she was diagnosed with Lyme disease. Twain’s vocal cords started to malfunction as her condition got worse, and she eventually lost her voice. She had to stop performing, and she spent a total of 15 years away from music.
Twain underwent a number of throat procedures to repair the damage after being warned that she would lose her singing voice. But the discomfort was too severe to postpone surgery. After 7 years, she is now able to perform again thanks to successful surgeries and medication.
