Cannon once belonged to the “Lincoln Park Bloods” street gang when he was a teen, but he claimed to have rejected his participation following the passing of a close friend.
Cannon competed in track and field, served as the organization’s president, and graduated from Spring Valley’s Monte Vista High School in 1998.
Cannon’s big break came when he performed stand-up comedy on his father’s local cable access program.
