Carlos Javier Correa Oppenheimer Jr. was born on September 22, 1994, in Puerto Rico.

At the time of Correa’s birth in Ponce, Puerto Rico, his parents were Sandybel Oppenheimer and Carlos Oppenheimer.

Despite their modest means, Correa’s family was able to construct a humble home in the fishing village of Barrio Velázquez in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico, where he was raised.

For the Minnesota Twins of Major League Baseball, he plays shortstop professionally (MLB). His previous team was the Houston Astros. In the first round of the 2012 MLB Draft, the Astros selected Correa.

A neighbour suggested Correa join a parent-pitch division of a kids league when he was five years old since as a young child, he enjoyed playing catch in an alley near his home.

Correa made his Major League Baseball debut with the Astros in June 2015. While playing for Houston in 2017, Carlos Correa won the World Series. In the same year that he was an All-Star, he was chosen to represent Puerto Rico on the World Baseball Classic All-Tournament Team.

 

Why Is Carlos Correa On The Injury List?

Correa’s recuperation was hampered by a bruise on his right middle finger, and the Twins placed him on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday. Correa is expected to join the team in time for the upcoming road trip via Oakland and Kansas City.
