Given the breakdown of San Diego’s cost of living that we provided, it should be obvious that a salary of $100,000 should be adequate to live comfortably there, so long as you don’t spend too much on luxury items, gambling, or vacations.

 

Why is it called San Diego?

In 1850, San Diego was founded. It named after San Diego Bay, which Vizcaino had renamed in 1602 in honor of the Franciscan San Diego de Alcala de Henares, whose name his flagship bore. Vizcaino changed the name of San Diego Bay to San Diego de Alcala de Henares, a Franciscan.
