Youssoufa Moukoko, a professional football player from Germany with Cameroonian ancestry, was born on November 20, 2004. Moukoko lived with his grandparents for the first ten years of his life in a predominantly Muslim neighbourhood of Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon. In the summer of 2014, his father, a German citizen who has lived in Hamburg since the 1990s, relocated his son Youssoufa Moukoko, to the country.
Youssoufa Moukoko plays up front for both the German national team and Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund. His ability to perform successfully at an early age is well known.
Moukoko, a Yaoundé, made his debut for the German national U16 team on September 11, 2017, winning 3-1 versus Austria.
Moukoko was called up to the German national squad in November 2022 in anticipation of the World Cup in Qatar. He made his debut on November 16 against Oman in a pre-tournament friendly, becoming the nation’s youngest debutant since Uwe Seeler in 1954.
Moukoko received a call on November 10, 2022, telling him to report to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup. On November 23 against Japan, he made his World Cup debut at the age of 18 years and 3 days, replacing Serge Gnabry in the 90th minute to become the country’s youngest-ever World Cup player.
