30-year-old man arrested after killing his 40-year-old girlfriend

Soweto police have successfully arrested Vusi Mjoli a 30-year-old man who is accused of killing his 40-year-old girlfriend in Senoane.

At the weekend, the deceased was discovered at one of the rooms in the area.

The naked body was found inside a house along Mkomasi street under the bed wrapped in a duvet cover and the suspect then managed to escape.

After the incident was exposed, it was also discovered that the suspect dug a grave at the back of the house.

Before her discovery, when he was asked about his girlfriend’s whereabouts, he said she had gone to visit her relatives.

Police spokesperson Captain Mpande Khoza, says a community informed the police of his whereabouts.

“The suspect was arrested at one of the hostels in Johannesburg, we would like to thank the community’s assistance in tracing the suspect. The suspect will appear at the Protea Magistrate’s Court tomorrow where he will face the charge of murder,” says Captain Khoza.
