The return for Rodgers in the game against the Bills seems questionable.

In Aaron Rodgers’ first game with the New York Jets, he was forced to leave the game early due to an injury before the game had even lasted five minutes and without him completing a pass. Unfavorable news for the Jets was that the medical crew had to use a cart to get him from the field to the locker room.

Rodgers was tackled by Leonard Floyd in the first period of his eagerly anticipated Jets debut. Even though the impact didn’t seem severe at first, Rodgers pointed toward the sideline and eventually sat down, suggesting he was hurt. He walked to the medical tent with help from the training crew. Rodgers had an ankle injury, according to the Jets, and it was unclear when he would be able to play again.

Zach Wilson replaced Aaron Rodgers after he left the game, but the Jets were unable to go forward and ultimately punted. After the punt, Rodgers was taken to the locker room by a cart that had just arrived at the Jets’ medical tent. He showed a distinct limp as soon as he got out of the wagon, clearly favoring his left leg.

This offseason, the Jets arranged a big trade to obtain Rodgers. Rodgers, a four-time MVP who spent many fruitful years with the Green Bay Packers, was moving on to only his second NFL franchise. The Jets were excited about the possibility that Rodgers may help them break their protracted postseason drought, which is one of the longest in the NFL.
