Alexander Norén is a Swedish professional golfer who currently plays on both the PGA Tour and the European Tour.
Norén currently splits his time competing on both tours. On the European Tour, some of the tournaments that he has won include the Nedbank Golf Challenge, the HNA Open de France, the British Masters, and the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open.
He has also won the BMW PGA Championship and the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open.
Norén, who was born in Stockholm, Sweden, took up the sport for the first time at the age of four, and his first course of play was at Haninge Golf Club.
He had been practicing for a while in various sports, but he decided to focus on golf.
He shot 146 over 36 holes at Rya Golf Club when he was 14 to win the unofficial Swedish Youth Championship, Föreningsbanken Cup.
At the close of 2005, Norén made the transition to the professional ranks, and he eventually qualified for the European Challenge Tour after advancing to the last round of European Tour qualifying school.
After finishing third in the Challenge Tour Rankings at the end of his rookie season, he earned a promotion to the European Tour for the 2007 season, where he promptly won the Rolex Trophy.
