Alexandra Valeria Botez, is a well-known female chess player, a YouTube, commentator, and also a Twitch broadcaster. She stated that during her first stream, most of the viewers were more interested in her than in the game, but currently she has more than 2,200,000, followers, on her Twitch and YouTube channels.

Alexandra has argued for more gender diversity and openly discussed her experiences with discrimination and misogyny in competitive chess.

She was elected to the Board of Directors of the Susan Polgar Foundation, a nonprofit organization with the mission of promoting chess for young people of all ages, particularly girls, throughout the United States.

Alexandra Botez went to High School in Oregon, after she finished her High School, she got a full-ride chess scholarship to the University of Texas in Dallas. But she made the decision to put her education first and went to Stanford University to study International Relations with a focus on China.
