Angelica’s career in show business began at the age of five, when she won a singing competition for children. She made her debut as a child actress when she was eight years old and went on to appear in numerous films and television series.
Angelica received a record deal in 1958 and recorded her first album, “Angelica Maria.” She was known as “La Novia de Mexico” (The Bride of Mexico) and released over 35 albums during her career.
Angelica Maria has garnered numerous prizes and honors throughout her career, including several Ariel prizes (Mexico’s equivalent of the Academy Awards) and a Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
