Lamont Thompson has previously played for the Tennessee Titans, Miami Dolphins, and Jacksonville Jaguars. He attended and played football at Washington State University. He attended El Cerrito High School and played football there. Thompson went on to play for the Washington State Cougars as a free safety.
Lamont Thompson led the team with six interceptions as a true freshman in 1997, despite not being a full-time starter. This included a pivotal 45-35 win over the University of Washington, during which Thompson intercepted Washington quarterback Brock Huard three times while filling in for an injured starter.
