Roderick January 10, 1945, saw the birth of David Stewart in London, England. Stewart, a gifted soccer player who was raised in a working-class family, worked a variety of odd jobs, including one as a grave digger, before his singing career took off.

Stewart played in a number of bands in the 1960s. He began to achieve popularity in 1966 when he joined the blues-influenced Jeff Beck Group.

The band performed on tours in the UK and the US and put out two successful albums. He joined the group that became known as the Faces in 1969.

One of his bandmates who joined the Rolling Stones was Ron Wood. Stewart also performed as a solo performer, and his 1971 album Every Picture Tells A Story, which included the number-one single “Maggie May,” was his first significant solo triumph. The Faces’ song “Stay With Me” was a smash that same year.

Since they were both in the band Faces in 1969, Ronnie and Rod have been pals. Ronnie attributes their 50-year friendship to the fact that they have a lot in common.

Humour and respect for those who have comparable musical preferences and lives to all the females, he said, truly take us back to the council house. That cannot be taken away.
