Konnie Huq also known as Kanak Asha, was born on July 17, 1975. Konnie Huq is a British author of children’s books, a scriptwriter, and a television and radio presenter. Huq presented the popular UK children’s television program Blue Peter from 1997 to 2008, making her the show’s longest-tenured female presenter. Konnie Huq has presented various programs, appeared as a guest and made cameo appearances on other productions, such as the 2010 season of The Xtra Factor on ITV2. Konnie Huq is the daughter of Muslim immigrants from Bangladesh who settled in London’s Hammersmith neighbourhood in the 1960s. Konnie Huq grew up in London’s Ealing neighbourhood with her two older sisters, Nutun and Rupa. Konnie Huq graduated from Notting Hill “AND” Ealing High School with nine GCSEs, followed by chemistry, math, and physics A-levels.
