Ayanda’s parents broke up when she was only two years old. She and her four sisters were raised by a single mother who toiled day and night as a nurse to cater for them.

The family were constantly moving from one place to another, Ayanda recounts that they have stayed at four places in Durban namely: Ntuzuma, Shayamoya, Umlazi, and Kwa Mashu.

Ayanda supported her mum by selling cold drinks and sewing dresses.

Despite their struggles as a family, they never forsook education and pursued it to the highest level.

She schooled at the Sacred Heart Girl’s High School then proceeded to the University of Pretoria where she graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Communication Management in 2007.

She has also received an Honours Marketing degree from the University of South Africa in 2011.

Ayanda has had her fair share of the drama’s associated with relationships. She was once engaged to televisio presenter Andile Ncube. Their engagement lasted for only two years after which they parted ways.

She then had a fling with Zulu Mkhathini also known as Dash but their relationship ended in November 2018. Ayanda confessed than she has great respect for Dash even though they are not together.

She found love again in the arms of Papi Rabolai, a wealthy businessman. It has been rumoured that the two got engaged during a vacation in Italy.

Ayanda has always wanted to be a model but her height did not favor her. She started working with top organizations such as L’Oreal and Johnson & Johnson. S

he eventually got the opportunity to model when she met Kutlwano Ditsele, a director who helped her join the Alushi Model Management owned by Shashi Naidoo.

Her career blossomed afterwards, she was became the face of the summer range by Legit Fashion in 2016. She later on hosted the BET Africa’s lifestyle magazine show, Top Billing and became a highly sort after Host and Actress.
