On February 4th, 1922, Kalb was born in New York City. For CBS and NBC, Kalb would serve as a foreign affairs correspondent and report from abroad. Bernard Kalb, a seasoned television journalist who worked for NBC News and CBS, passed away recently. Towards the end of World War II, he joined the Army and began his journalism career at The New York Times.
Kalb’s demise was later confirmed, which stated that he died on January 8 at his home in North Bethesda, Maryland, as a result of “complications from a fall.” Kalb joined CNN’s Reliable Sources in 1993 and remained there until 1998 as the discussion program’s anchor.
Among the other shows Kalb would appear on were Bicentennial Minutes, CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite, CBS News Sunday Morning, The Bob Braun Show, and Scarborough Country.
