Prince was born in Charlotte, North Carolina; in 1986, the family relocated to Cary. She was a cheerleader for the Martin Middle School team that took first place in the Wake County Cheerleading Contest.
She went to Raleigh, North Carolina’s Saint Mary’s School for high school, an exclusive Episcopal prep school for girls where she participated in musical theater.
Prince attended North Carolina State University after high school, then transferred to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He graduated from high school in 2000.
She graduated in the first class of UNC Wilmington’s new film studies program while there and participated in the Seahawk Dance Team from 2002 to 2003.
Prince studied at the New York Film Academy and received an MFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design to prepare for more challenging jobs.
