Geddie graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a degree in communications/film in 1977. He was sacked as The View’s co-creator and initial executive producer in 2014; the show launched in August 1997.
Geddie, a former “Good Morning America” employee, joined Barbara Walters as a business partner in her production company Barwall and has worked on several of her specials. Geddie, who has six Emmy nominations and two wins, produced Walters’ “10 Most Fascinating People” shows.
