The View, which debuted in 1997 and included panelists Meredith Vieira, Star Jones, Joy Behar, and Debbie Matenopoulos, was co-created by Geddie and Barbara Walters, who won four Emmy awards.
He hosted the talk show till 2014, appearing on it while getting 13 Daytime Emmy nominations. In 2012, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 39th Daytime Emmy Awards.
