Black Hebrew Israelites had attacked pro-Palestine and anti-Israel protesters in Chicago today.

On Saturday, thousands of demonstrators congregated in the heart of Chicago’s Loop to participate in a rally expressing their solidarity with Palestine. According to CBS 2’s Darius Johnson, the demonstrators started at the intersection of Wacker Drive and Michigan Avenue and proceeded to Grant Park around 6:30 p.m.

The protesters passionately chanted “free free Palestine” as they collectively called for a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict involving Israel. About 30 minutes into the march, an altercation occurred at the intersection of Washington and Michigan, although the precise details remained unclear. CBS 2’s on-site crews observed protesters rushing towards a group in the park, some repurposing flags as makeshift weapons, while others hurled water bottles. The confrontation was accompanied by loud noises, including what sounded like “booms.” Medical personnel were seen tending to a man with a cut above his eye.

Following this initial disturbance, the protests largely resumed a peaceful tone as thousands continued their journey along Michigan Avenue and into the Loop.

Meanwhile, Israel disclosed that it had entered a new phase of the conflict, involving an expanded ground operation against Hamas. Communication channels in Gaza have been disrupted, severely hampering the ability to provide aid to the injured. Israel’s military forces intensified their ground operations in Gaza, launching a fierce assault on the Gaza Strip, marking some of the most intense fighting since the war’s outset.

Video footage released by the Israel Defense Forces showcased tanks entering northern Gaza and firing rounds as smoke billowed from fires in the area. Israel’s Army spokesperson reported the elimination of several Hamas commanders. Fighter jets were also deployed to strike numerous Hamas tunnels and underground bunkers.

Gaza is currently grappling with a communications blackout, with both internet and cell phone services disrupted. This intensified military operation is causing profound concern among the families of individuals still held captive.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the nation, emphasizing that Israel is engaged in a battle for its very existence and anticipating an imminent ground invasion aimed at neutralizing Hamas and rescuing hostages.

Sirens sounded in Tel Aviv after several individuals sustained injuries from rockets fired from Gaza, which landed in central Israel. According to the Gaza health ministry controlled by Hamas, hundreds of people remain trapped beneath the rubble, with the death toll surpassing 7,700, primarily comprising women and children.

Earlier, Prime Minister Netanyahu had forewarned that the conflict in Gaza is expected to endure, describing it as a “long” one.
