We regret to inform you that Robert Chadwick Berry, a former NFL quarterback, passed away on April 17, 2023, at the age of 81.
Berry played football professionally for twelve seasons in the NFL and was chosen for one Pro Bowl.
In the middle of the 1970s, he played for the Minnesota Vikings and was a part of three Super Bowl teams.
Berry, a San Jose, California native who played college football for Oregon and was named to the first-team All-American, was born and reared there.
He was given the university’s distinguished alumni award in 1985. Both the University of Oregon Sports Hall of Fame and the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame inducted Berry in 1987 and 1992, respectively.
Berry leaves behind his son, daughter, and two grandchildren. His loved ones, friends, and the football community will all miss him dearly. At the time of his passing, he had a $5 million net worth. During this trying time, they are in our hearts and minds.
